1. How much do you charge?  
Weekly cleans: We charge £12.95 per hour. Of that £10.00 is paid to the cleaner each time they clean. And £2.95 is paid to us quarterly in advance by Direct Debit. This is our business fee and it covers our insurance, our vetting procedures and the general management of the client account. 

Fortnightly cleans: We charge £14.95 per hour. Of that £10.00 is paid to the cleaner each time they clean and £4.95 is paid to us quarterly in advance. 

Time For You guarantees never to increase the quarterly retainer fee to Time For You for the entirety of the contract.  Your cleaner, however, may periodically increase their hourly rate.  Should you have any concerns about an increase in rate, please do not hesitate to contact us. 

2. Who supplies the materials?
Our cleaners will use your cleaning products and your equipment, this guarantees that you are happy with the products used and it eliminates cross-contamination from vacuum cleaners or cloths etc. 

3. Am I employing the Cleaner?
No, the Cleaner is self-employed and fully responsible for his/her own income tax and national insurance.  

4. How do I pay the Cleaner?
Cleaners usually like to be paid each time they clean, by cash or bank transfer which will be agreed with the cleaner when you meet them. 
5. What happens if the Cleaner is sick/on holiday.

The Cleaner will try and make another arrangement with you – coming in the day after, catching up over the next few sessions or providing a substitute. If none of these solutions are satisfactory, then you can call us to request that we introduce an alternative Cleaner.  Please note that this may not be on your usual cleaning day and access to your home will be required by a cover cleaner. 
6. What happens if I don’t like the Cleaner?
You will be given the opportunity to meet your cleaner before they start work for you so that you are comfortable with our selection from the outset. Once you have chosen your cleaner, they will be your regular cleaner. If at any time you decide your current Cleaner is not for you then obviously, as a courtesy, you should let him/her know so that he/she doesn’t arrive back on your doorstep unintentionally. If you then let us know we will introduce another Cleaner, who you would then interview as normal and ensure that you are happy with.

 7. Will the Cleaner clean the windows and do the ironing?
This is a common request from a number of our clients and if you request internal window cleaning or ironing at signup we will source a cleaner for you whom is happy to do it. Any ironing will be completed within the allotted weekly hours at your home, and the ironing can be either left out, or put away wherever you want it. I will add though that our public liability insurance does not cover the external (outside of house) cleaning of windows.    
8. Do I get the same Cleaner every week?
Yes, subject to sickness or holiday.

 9. What is the Business Fee for?
The Business Fee is our income and covers the running of our business, which includes our advertising, vetting procedures, facilitating Cleaner and Householder communication, arranging any requested cover cleaners due to sickness or holiday as well as our insurance. As a family run business we are always on the end of the phone to help you.

10. Do I give the Cleaner a key?
That is completely at your discretion. Some Householders are present during the Cleaning. Some give a key after a month and some give a key when they first meet the Cleaner. It is totally up to you and what you are comfortable with.  A Key Safe is also a popular option. These can be purchased cheaply from Amazon.

11. Are you insured?
The Cleaner should have Public Liability insurance in place. However, should this not be the case or the Cleaner’s policy have lapsed, we provide you with the benefit of insurance for accidental damage, however there are five things I want you to know about this:    

(a) We are not insured for the first £100 of any claim. In other words if the Cleaner destroys your carpet and it costs £5,000 to replace, our insurance will pay a maximum of £4,900 but you will have to pay for the first £100. However, if the Cleaner breaks a cup and saucer valued at £5.00, we are not covered. The insurance is really only there for the more serious incidents  
(b) We are not covered for damage by bleach and therefore will not accept any claims for bleach damage. You are free to ask your Cleaner to use bleach, however it’s at your own risk and we will not accept any claims for bleach damage. Some Cleaners might not even agree to use it  
(c) Cover is only provided to replace items at their value at the time of the incident, i.e. it will take into account wear and tear (will not replace ‘old’ with ‘new’) 
 (d) The insurance only covers damage caused by Cleaners introduced by us and materials or equipment supplied by you.

12. What is this ‘Contract for Services’ mentioned in the T&Cs?  
Quite simply that’s lawyer-speak for what you agree with your Cleaner! When you meet with the Cleaner and discuss the terms for the job, then you are actually making a verbal agreement with him/her and the lawyers call that a Contract for Services. Householders often like to note this down because it sets everyone’s expectation as to what is going to happen and helps to avoid miscommunication. 
13. Is there a minimum contract period
 The agreement will be for a minimum initial period of 13 weeks and shall continue thereafter on a month to modate.nth basis.  If you do cancel then it would be a Breach of Contract to engage the cleaner for  a period of 12 months after the Termination
