At Time For You we aim to deliver a quality, personalised service for your domestic cleaning needs. The process is very straightforward, with no forms to complete - a quick phone call, email or requesting a Call Back, is sufficient. If you wish to proceed, we then arrange a mutually convenient time to visit you, to 'sign you up' and thereafter get our services underway.
Please find below our most commonly asked questions, regarding our cleaner service, which we hope will help you decide that Time For You is right for you.
A - With great care! All cleaners initially complete our application form. We conduct telephone screening only with those who we believe show potential at this stage. If we are happy with the screening, we arrange a visit to the applicant's homes for an interview. We believe this is invaluable, as it allows us to see a potential cleaner's standards that they are living by. We get to know them personally thought this home visit and during this, we complete various checks, eg, ask for proof of address/references. Only after we have completed our checks does someone get added on to our database. We never have anyone on our database that we wouldn't wish to clean our own home.
Q - Can I meet the cleaner before they start?
A - Yes, as standard practice we advise all cleaners that they must be prepared to visit a client beforehand. We find this invaluable, for both parties; where the cleaner will visit you before commencing, discussing your requirements and familiarising themselves with your home. This also ensures you are both comfortable with each other. Many of our clients are working professionals and request their cleaner to have a key on their behalf, so, again, this can be facilitated at this pre-clean meeting. Other clients, who may be in their home when the cleaner calls, are happy for the cleaner to simply arrive a short time earlier on the first clean day and discuss their needs then carry out the clean. It is up to you, what you would like to happen.
Q - What tasks will the cleaner do?
A - All the Time For You cleaners are self-employed and once introduced to you, they will happily discuss your specific home requirements, to ensure you receive a high-quality service to suit you. Standard requests are for areas such as floor cleaning, internal windows, surface cleaning/polishing, bathroom cleaning and general room cleaning. Some clients like ironing done too. If there is anything else specific you are seeking, then we are happy to discuss this with you. Please note that we offer a flexible service and you do not have to have the same tasks carried out each week, eg, if you have a spare room that you want to be cleaned once in a while, that is fine, if you want tasks carried out on rotation, then, again, you can request the cleaner, to do that, also.
Q - Who supplies the cleaning products?
A - Your dedicated cleaner will use the products and equipment that you have in your home. This is to ensure that you are happy with what is being used and there are no cross-contamination issues. Some clients have bespoke requirements for their home furniture and therefore by the cleaner using your products, we find this works well. We do, however, stipulate, that the cleaner must not be asked to use bleach products.
Q - Will I have the same cleaner each week?
A - We do not believe in sending in different people each week. We want you to get to know your cleaner and for them to build a relationship with you and your home. This also aids efficiency, where, eg, you may wish rotation of rooms and tasks, it is easier for one individual to keep on top of this.
Q - I have pets, is this an issue?
A - No, this is fine. When we meet cleaners, we ask if they have any issues with pets. We check if they are happy to be in a home, with eg, dogs, cats. When we meet any new client we always ask if they have any pets, to ensure we can introduce them to a cleaner who is comfortable with any pets they may have.
Q - Is there a minimum number of hours for a clean?
A - Yes 2 hours for weekly cleans and 3 hours for fortnightly.
Q - How quickly can you find me a cleaner?
A - After initially contacting us, should you wish to proceed, we will arrange to meet you in your home, to discuss your needs in person. We appreciate that a lot of clients work during standard office hours and we can, therefore, offer an evening appointment, if that is more convenient. We aim to introduce a cleaner within 7 days of our meeting, many, however, are introduced quicker. If you have specific requirements, it may take a few days longer, but we can discuss that with you, when we meet.
Q - Do you have insurance cover?
A - We are insured for up to £2 million pounds, against the cleaner accidentally damaging your property. Please note that in order to keep our charge competitive, we do have an excess of £100 on all claims.
Q - I would like to start using your cleaner services, what do I do now?
A - Contact us by phone, email or by using the 'Request a Callback' feature on our web page. We then contact you, via telephone, take some details and arrange to visit you.
